Today was a pleasant day with temperatures is the mid 80’s. I began my Saturday by clearing an area of Japanese Stilt Grass. This invasive grass is beginning to go to seed, so I need to remove as much as possible to prevent, or at least reduce, next year’s growth.
My next task is to remove more Mile-a-Minute vines. This invasive can cover an entire tree and kill it. Here is a spice bush that needs to be rescued.
Other trees were not so lucky.
I finished the afternoon by picking up some trash in the stream. It appears that the amount of trash is less this month than in the past.
