Sunday April 8, 2012

Today is a beautiful spring day!

My focus for today is the removal of invasive Galic Mustard (Alliaria petiolata).

These plants were everywhere.  So I decided to clear of a section of near the trail.

The stream was full of algae - the most I have seen in the three years that I have been working at Turkey Branch.

I found some lovely wildfowers.

The deer population is very large this year and they are very tame!

I am happy to say that there was not much trash in the Park, but there were a few bottles and an empty liter of vodka.

There will be a community clean up this Saturday in another section of the park.
